Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has been offering the 3-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. (Hons.)) Programme since its establishment in 2009. The programme aligns with the latest guidelines and regulations set by the Bar Council of India and the University Grants Commission, ensuring its relevance and academic rigor.

Programme Structure

For Students Enrolled from Academic Year 2026-27 Onwards

In order to be awarded a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree, students must be awarded no less than 150 credits in total, distributed as follows:

  • Twenty-six compulsory courses, worth 104 credits in aggregate;
  • Law Electives worth 24 credits in aggregate;
  • Four Compulsory Clinical Courses, worth 16 credits in aggregate; and
  • Three Compulsory Internships (including at least one internship under Trial and Appellate Advocates), worth 6 credits in aggregate.

Students may be awarded credits for undertaking co-curricular activities which allow them to develop legal reasoning skills and enhance their understanding of the law. Credits earned on account of permissible co-curricular activity would count towards the total 150 credits required to be awarded a LL.B. (Honours) degree.

Please note: Certain courses are not compulsorily required under the BCI Rules of Legal Education. However, they are compulsorily required by JGLS to meet the BCI mandate on the minimum number of courses for the award of this degree.

Please also note: As per the directions of the BCI through circular BCI:D:468/2024/Cir-006/2024 (LE) dated 20 May 2024 read with BCI circular BCI:D:1897/2020/Cir-323/2020 (LE) dated 13 August 2020, the core course on “Mediation and Conciliation” will be taught as a compulsory law subject.

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) does not appoint or authorise any agent, intermediary, or consultant for admissions to any the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes offered by JGU.

If any individual or organisation approaches you demanding money, donations, or favours for admission, please immediately report the matter to the police and to the Registrar of the O.P.Jindal Global University at registraroffice@jgu.edu.in

All admissions to JGU’s academic programmes are conducted strictly on merit. JGU has no management quota, no donation/capitation seats, no NRI/Foreign National quota, and no special quota of any kind.

Paying or offering any form of donation or capitation fee for admission to JGU is illegal, and individuals involved in such activities are liable for criminal prosecution.

*The Tuition fee, accommodation charges and other allied service charges are subject to an annual increase of ten percent (10%).

**The security deposit will be fully refunded, subject to the completion of studies and/or receipt of a ‘No Dues Certificate’. The security deposit shall not carry any interest.
