LL.M. in International Law

Over the years, international law has emerged as a dominant part of the structure of our international society. Towards this, there is an increasing demand to confront new global realities and accordingly, a demand for individuals, specifically lawyers and lawmakers, to meet the challenges of globalisation and find solutions within the rapidly evolving international environments.
The LL.M. in International Law at Jindal Global Law School is a unique blend of theory and the practice of international law. The diverse range of courses under this specialization will help post-graduate students build a solid foundation in the core areas of international law and governance whilst also offering them a holistic approach towards the present legal challenges across the globe. This year-long programme adopts an innovative, interdisciplinary and critical approach to teaching and learning. By exploring topics of contemporary significance, this programme equips post-graduate students with independent analytical and research skills to prepare them for a career in international law or within international organisations. Our expert faculty notably offers comprehensive and versatile training to students coming from an array of legal backgrounds.
 

The admission process for the LL.M. programme comprises two steps. Firstly, candidates need to appear for one of the following entrance examinations, which carries a weightage of 70% in the admission process:

CLAT PG Entrance Test

Once registered, candidates must submit their Statement of Purpose, Academic documents and Curriculum Vitae online at https://lawadmissions.jgu.edu.in/

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) does not appoint or authorise any agent, intermediary, or consultant for admissions to any the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes offered by JGU.

If any individual or organisation approaches you demanding money, donations, or favours for admission, please immediately report the matter to the police and to the Registrar of the O.P.Jindal Global University at registraroffice@jgu.edu.in

All admissions to JGU’s academic programmes are conducted strictly on merit. JGU has no management quota, no donation/capitation seats, no NRI/Foreign National quota, and no special quota of any kind.

Paying or offering any form of donation or capitation fee for admission to JGU is illegal, and individuals involved in such activities are liable for criminal prosecution.

Fee Structure 2026-2027

Important Note regarding the Registration Fee of INR 2,50,000 paid at the time of admission:

1. This amount will be adjusted towards the total fee payable and will be counted as the fees paid for the first semester;
2. Failure to pay this fee will result in the offer being withdrawn by the University;
3. This registration amount will be refunded, in accordance with the University Refund Policy, in case you decide at a later stage not to join this degree programme. Please go through the refund policy attached.

First Semester Fee:

Note: The Security Deposit shall be fully refunded after a student completes his/her studies and / or secures a ‘No Dues Certificate’ as per the University rules. The security deposit shall not carry any interest.

How to Pay Fees

1. No payments will be accepted through cash. Payments should be made by the dates given in the Offer Letter via the JGU Payment Gateway, which can be accessed through the following link https://payanyfee.com/jgu/admission/payfee
2. We encourage you to use the medium of Net Banking for making fee payments in the above link.

*Important Notes -

• Academic year denotes the period starting with the academic session i.e. 1st August and ending with the examination or start of vacations during both the semesters failing within that academic year.
• O.P. Jindal Global University serves only vegetarian food in its dining halls on campus. Non-vegetarian food is available on a payment basis from the University Food Village.
• Students are provided with shared accommodation in the Residence Hall/ Student Housing.
• JGU Follows a car-free policy inside the campus for parents and students.
