Biography

Asmita Singh is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University. She also serves as JGU’s Faculty Coordinator for the U.S. Business Law Academy, conducted in collaboration with Columbia Law School. She holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from Humboldt University of Berlin and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Jindal Global Law School, and has been admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi since 2017.

Her teaching and research center on Alternate Dispute Resolution, International Arbitration, Gender and Society, and Jurisprudence, with current work exploring the gendered dimensions of international arbitration and the growing role of artificial intelligence in arbitral practice.

Beyond the classroom, she has led JGU's Alternate Dispute Resolution Society as Director for 03 years, trained student teams for national and international arbitration moots, and mentored dissertations spanning investor-state dispute settlement to constitutional mediation. 

Her approach to legal education combines academic rigour with sustained mentorship, with particular emphasis on developing students’ analytical, professional, and advocacy skills.
