Divya Sridhar is a lawyer, academic, and legal scholar specializing in International Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Public International Law. She teaches courses spanning International Dispute Resolution, Evidence Laws, Human Rights Law, Mediation and Conciliation, and UN Law and Practice in the ICJ, and mentors students for leading global moot competitions, including the Jessup, Willem C. Vis, and FDI Moots.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (B.Com. LLB. Hons.) from Tamil Nadu National Law School, Trichy, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Merit from King's College London, where her dissertation examined trademark dilution law across the United States, United Kingdom, and India - a study subsequently published in the Jindal Global Law Review (Scopus-indexed, 2024). She also is working on international frameworks for women's access to justice and hybrid dispute resolution mechanisms.
Her scholarship bridges dispute resolution of law, technology, and gender justice. She has presented her research internationally, including at the Asian Law and Economics Association conference at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and as an Invited Visiting Researcher at Doshisha University's RECITAL Centre in Kyoto, Japan.
Divya serves as Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), organizing guest lecture series on international commercial arbitration and contributing to student-collaborative research. She is also Associate Director of the Centre for Ethics, Spirituality and Meditation, leading the university's wellness initiatives through meditation facilitation.
A qualified Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, she is also an accredited Commercial Mediator certified by the Mediator Academy and a member of the Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre. Her opinion writing has appeared in Telangana Today, The Diplomat, Scroll, and Info360.
Outside the law, Divya is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer of over two decades, a discipline that reflects her belief in the power of form, discipline, and expression.
