Biography

Divya Gupta is an Associate Professor and teaches Economics at Jindal Global Law School. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi from where she also received her Master's degree. Previously, she has taught at several colleges of University of Delhi, such as Miranda House, KiroriMal College, SGTB Khalsa, and SGGSCC. 

Her research work lies at the intersection of development economics, public policy, economics of gender, and economics of education. Deeply rooted in field-based and empirical research, her expertise lies at observing and analysing new patterns and unique problems from field-based observations, which also contributes to a more nuanced perspective and analysis of large secondary datasets. 

She has presented her research at several national and international conferences; and has also been invited as an academic visitor to prestigious universities like the University of Warwick, UK and the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research has been published in reputed academic journals. She has also contributed opinion editorials to leading newspapers such as the Mint.
