Biography

Ishan Vijay graduated with a B.A. LL.B. degree from O.P. Jindal Global University, in 2022. His interest in academia arose in the 3rd and 4th year of law school where he was exposed to multiple areas of law, both national and international. He pursued an LL.M. in Human Rights Law from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), on a Postgraduate Scholarship in Law.

He is interested in a variety of subjects, chief among them being child rights law, human rights, criminal law, constitutional law, and family law. During his time at QMUL he worked as a legal caseworker for the ‘Advice on Individual Rights in Europe’ (AIRE) Centre. He researched asylum and the right to have a family under the European Convention on Human Rights. He work as a research assistant on a project about international child rights law.

Presented the findings of the research paper in the 2nd Undergraduate Research Conference, 2018 which was hosted in O.P. Jindal Global University. This distinguished conference was attended by noted Sociologist Professor Dipankar Jain and had Professor J. Thomas (Tom) Cook as the Chief Guest, alongside university Vice Chancellor Professor C. Rajkumar.
