Aman Gupta completed his undergraduate degree in Law from O.P. Jindal Global University, India, in 2021. He subsequently pursued an LL.M. in International Trade Law, where his thesis examined the incorporation of gender-related provisions in free trade agreements. In 2022, he completed a second LL.M. in Human Rights Law at Queen Mary University of London, where his thesis focused on the Human Rights Act 1998 and the development of human rights protection in the United Kingdom.
His academic and research interests lie at the intersection of international law, human rights, and critical approaches to legal theory. He is particularly interested in questions of universality, power, and the ways in which international and domestic legal regimes shape understandings of rights and justice.
Apart from his academic work, he is interested in hip-hop and football, popular culture, and the relationship between law, politics, and contemporary cultural expression. He has also taught and mentored students in the areas of jurisprudence, human rights law, and international law.
