Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Jasmeet Gulati is a Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University), Sonipat, NCR of Delhi (India). She is the Vice Dean for Examinations and Director of the Centre for International Legal Studies.

Prof. Gulati was a Visiting Professor of Law (2024-2025) at the University of Virginia School of Law, US. She has been a Recognized Teacher and Online Instructor for LLM with University of Liverpool in association with Laureate Online Higher Education (2012-2015), and has taught Patent Law module at the University of Liverpool (UK). Dr. Gulati, earlier taught at the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University and at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. She served as Assistant Registrar (Research) (2016-2017) on deputation from Panjab University, in the Registry of Supreme Court of India at its Centre for Research and Planning. As Assistant Registrar (Research), she worked with 2 Chief Justices of India- Hon’ble Mr. Justice T.S. Thakur and Hon’ble Mr. Justice J.S. Khehar, where she was a part of various discussions on policy matters with the Hon’ble judges of the Supreme Court.

She has been teaching since the year 2000 to the undergraduate and postgraduate law students. Her qualifications include- Ph.D in International Criminal Law from Panjab University (India), Masters of Laws (LL.M) in Public International Law from University of Cambridge (UK). Her other qualifications and courses include M.A. (Public Administration), LL.B (Panjab University), B.A. (Honours in English), PG Diploma in Cyber Laws and  Management Development Program on IP from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad. She was a Nehru Scholar at University of Cambridge and was awarded Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship by the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust in 1999. She has published books and a number of articles in national and international journals. 

Dr. Gulati is a Fellow of Cambridge Commonwealth Society (UK) and Honorary Fellow of University of Liverpool (UK).
