Biography

Prof. Karan Kataria is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School and a Fellow at the Centre for Constitutional Law Studies. He previously served as the youngest Rajya Sabha Research Fellow, contributing to parliamentary research and legislative policy. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he was elected as a Delegate to the National Union of Students (United Kingdom). His teaching and research focus on Public International Law, Constitutional Law, and Governance, with particular emphasis on the Global South, democratic institutions, and the interface between international and constitutional law.

His scholarship examines the role of constitutionalism and international legal norms in shaping public institutions, governance, and policy. He has published in leading national and international journals. He served as the Principal Investigator for the NARI Report 2025, a nationwide study launched by the National Commission for Women.His broader research agenda seeks to bridge academic scholarship with public policy and institutional reform, contributing to contemporary legal discourse and evidence-based governance.
